{"id":30428,"date":"2025-02-24T14:06:16","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T19:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.carh.org\/?p=30428"},"modified":"2025-02-24T14:06:16","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T19:06:16","slug":"carh-scholarship-foundation-application-deadline-extended-to-march-14th-encourage-residents-to-apply-asap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.carh.org\/carh-scholarship-foundation-application-deadline-extended-to-march-14th-encourage-residents-to-apply-asap\/","title":{"rendered":"CARH Scholarship Foundation Application Deadline Extended to March 14th \u2013 Encourage Residents to Apply ASAP!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION UPDATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>February 24, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dear CARH Members:<\/p>\n<p>The CARH Scholarship Foundation (Foundation) has extended the deadline for accepting scholarship applications to <strong>Friday, March 14, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please remind your onsite property management personnel to encourage residents to apply for these scholarships! <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2025ScholarshipFlyerforProperties_ExtendedDeadline.pdf\"><strong>Click here<\/strong><\/a><strong> for a flyer that can be posted in property common areas or distributed to residents. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Foundation is offering seven scholarships to deserving students from CARH-member affordable rural housing properties. Each scholarship is $2,000 per semester for educational expenses, with a maximum of four years (eight semesters) of funding.<\/p>\n<p>There are four different applications available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2025_ApplicationCARHScholarship_Traditional.pdf\"><strong>Application for Traditional Students<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 This application is for those students\/individuals, that are <u>currently a candidate for high school graduation or, within the past five years, received a high school diploma (or equivalent)<\/u>; and<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2025_ApplicationCARHScholarship_NonTraditional.pdf\"><strong>Application for Non-Traditional Students<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 This application is for students\/individuals, with a high school diploma or equivalent, <u>who have been out of school for five or more years<\/u>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2025_ApplicationCARHScholarship_VocationalTrade.pdf\"><strong>Application for Technical\/Trade\/Vocational Students<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 This application is for any students or individuals <u>who are or will be attending an accredited technical, trade, or vocational school or program<\/u>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/2025_ApplicationCARHScholarship_Graduate.pdf\"><strong>Application for Graduate Students<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 This application is for any student that has a bachelor\u2019s degree and <u>who is or will be attending a graduate program at an accredited college or university<\/u>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualified applicants for the <strong>Traditional<\/strong>, <strong>Non-Traditional<\/strong>, and <strong>Technical\/Trade\/Vocational<\/strong> applicants must be a resident of a CARH-member property; a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident; hold or be a candidate for a high school diploma or equivalent; demonstrate scholastic or work achievement; demonstrate financial need; and be accepted at or currently enrolled, as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university; or accepted at or attending an accredited technical, trade, or vocational school or program.<\/p>\n<p><em>Qualified <strong>Graduate Student<\/strong> applicants must be a <\/em>resident of a CARH-member property <strong>OR<\/strong> former recipient of a CARH Scholarship Foundation Scholarship; a US citizen or permanent legal resident; hold a bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited college or university; and <em>be accepted at or enrolled in a post-graduate program at an accredited university.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Please <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carh.org\/scholarships\/applications\/\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a> to access all applications. Each application contains full eligibility requirements needed for that specific application. <u>Only eligible applicants and complete applications will be considered.<\/u> <em><strong>Applications must be received by the Scholarship Foundation no later than the extended deadline of March 14, 2025.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Site managers play integral roles in the lives of residents who live in rural housing complexes. Due to the efforts of these managers, residents have been encouraged to submit scholarship applications in the past. As recognition of this work, the Foundation will present to the manager of each complex where there is a successful scholarship recipient, <strong>$250 plus recognition in several CARH publications and on the CARH website<\/strong>!<\/em><em><\/p>\n<p><\/em>Scholarship recipients will be invited to join CARH at the 2025 Annual Meeting &amp; Legislative Conference, June 23-25, in Arlington, Virginia.
