On October 17, 2024, HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing sent out the following information:<\/em><\/p>\n

HUD published a final rule implementing the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard (FFRMS) in April 2024. Details, guidance and two overview webinars can be found here<\/a>. HUD\u2019s Office of Housing is offering two new webinars specifically for Housing Partners on defining the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard (FFRMS) floodplain. Please register and join us! The webinars will be recorded and available at a later date.<\/p>\n

Defining FFRMS for Housing Partners Part 1 <\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Overview of how to define the FFRMS floodplain using the Climate Informed Science Approach (CISA), 0.2 percent annual chance floodplain, and Freeboard Value Approach methods for Housing programs including Multifamily, Healthcare, and Hospital FHA (including Risk-Sharing), RAD, GRRP, and Asset Management.<\/p>\n
