Biden Jr signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 &#8220;Act&#8221;. This new law requires each unit of federally assisted housing to contain hardwired or 10-year non-rechargeable, sealed, tamper-resistant battery-powered smoke alarm devices.
