The funding is available for two components of the Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities program, which helps develop, subsidize, and provide supportive services for rental housing to meet the needs of this vulnerable population.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grants.gov\/web\/grants\/view-opportunity.html?oppId=350575\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Section 811 Capital Advance\/Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) NOFO<\/a><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 provides $106 million in capital advances that can be used for the development of new or rehabilitation of existing supportive housing along with project rental subsidies to keep homes affordable. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grants.gov\/web\/grants\/view-opportunity.html?oppId=350572\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\"><strong>Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) NOFO<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/u> provides $106 million to state housing and other agencies for project rental assistance to cover the difference between the tenants\u2019 contributions toward rental payments and the HUD-approved rent for the property for eligible tenants with disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 12, 2023, HUD&#8217;s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing sent out the following information: HUD\u2019s Office of Multifamily Housing Programs today made available $212 million in funding opportunities\u00a0to expand the supply of affordable housing and supportive services for very-low and extremely-low-income persons with disabilities.
