{"id":28161,"date":"2023-03-22T16:22:42","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T20:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.carh.org\/?p=28161"},"modified":"2023-03-22T16:26:46","modified_gmt":"2023-03-22T20:26:46","slug":"hud-bifurcation-housing-notice-posted-on-drafting-table","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.carh.org\/hud-bifurcation-housing-notice-posted-on-drafting-table\/","title":{"rendered":"HUD: Bifurcation Housing Notice Posted on Drafting Table"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>On March 22, 2023 &#8211; HUD&#8217;s Multifamily Housing Asset Management sent out the following information:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"contentpasted0\">Multifamily Housing Partners,<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Today, in an effort to address complexities associated with Section 8\u00a0Project-based Rental Assistance\u00a0(PBRA) Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) contract bifurcations, in which single HAP contracts are divided into two or more HAP contracts following HUD approval, the Office of Multifamily Housing (MFH) programs posted a\u00a0draft\u00a0<strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/program_offices\/housing\/mfh\/Section_8_PBRA_HAP_Contract_Bifurcations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">housing notice<\/a><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0to the Drafting Table\u00a0for public feedback.<\/p>\n<p>Input is due by 5:00 PM Eastern time on Monday, April 24, 2023, and should be sent to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:AssetManagementPolicy@hud.gov\">AssetManagementPolicy@hud.gov<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The notice proposes to establish clear standards for HUD approval of requests from owners to bifurcate Section 8 PBRA HAP contracts. It also proposes a set of steps for the processing of approved requests.
